Lady Tigers Score Another 5-4 Win in Women’s Tennis
Marion, AL—It's becoming old hat for the Lady Tigers this year. Win or lose, the score is almost always the same—5-4. Such was the case again on Saturday afternoon at the Paul B. Anderson Tennis Complex. The Lady Tigers snuck out the W again, 5-4, this time against the Lady Lions of Wallace State Community College-Hanceville.
MMI's Julia Kelly and Madelyn Dibble finished their conference season with a perfect 8-0 mark by beating Wallace State's Anna Knepper and Natalia Barron, 8-2. On court 2, MMI's Anna Waller and Eve Crossett avenged their only conference loss of the season by downing Wallace State's Halle McCrory and Breanna Vann, 8-5.
In singles, Kelly topped Knepper, 6-1, 6-0; Anna Waller blasted her way past Natalia Barron, 6-0, 6-0; and Madelyn Dibble beat Halle McCrory, 6-1, 6-2.
