Lady Tigers Claw Their Way to Win over Lady Eagles
Marion, AL—The Lady Tigers won yet another 5-4 nail-biter on Wednesday afternoon, this time against the Lady Eagles of Meridian Community College at the Paul B. Anderson Tennis Complex.
The Lady Tigers claimed two of the three doubles matches, winning at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Julia Kelly and Madelyn Dibble played solidly throughout their match and won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Anna Waller and Eve Crossett defeated Meridian's Isabella Warham and Kolbi Holifield, 8-6.
In singles action, Julia Kelly wore down Meridian's Warham, 6-4, 6-1; Anna Waller bageled her Meridian opponent, 6-0, 6-0; and Madelyn Dibble breadsticked Meridian's Britney Murphree, 6-1, 6-1.
