Lady Tigers Nab 5-4 Win over Lady Parsons at Home
Marion, AL—The Paul B. Anderson Tennis Center was kind to the Lady Tigers on Saturday afternoon as the Lady Tigers put up two doubles points and three singles points to take the 5-4 win over the Lady Parsons of Snead State Community College.
In doubles action, MMI's No. 1 doubles team of Julia Kelly and Madelyn Dibble cruised to an 8-0 win over Snead State's Gracie White and Carleigh Johnson. MMI's No. 2 doubles team of Anna Waller and Eve Crossett pulled through with an 8-5 win over Snead State's Jacky Nieto and Anna Harmening.
MMI tacked on three more points in singles, with wins by Kelly (6-0, 6-1), Nieto (6-1, 6-0) and Dibble (6-1, 6-1) to stretch the overall match score to 5-3. Eve Crossett fell 5-7, 6-7 (6) in a lengthy match at No. 4 singles. Crossett's loss made the final score, 5-4.
