Lady Tigers Lose First Conference Match in Women’s Tennis
Hanceville, AL—The Lady Tigers have been in the habit of winning close matches, 5-4, but on Thursday afternoon, they dropped a match 4-5 to Wallace State Community College-Hanceville to end their good fortune.
The Lady Tigers started their day with an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles and were up 7-5 at No. 2 doubles before the 7-5 lead evaporated. The No. 2 doubles team fell in a tight contest, 7-9.
In singles action, the Lady Tigers rebounded nicely, winning matches at No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-1), No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-1), and No. 3 singles (6-2, 6-1).
