Lady Tigers Tame Lady Lions, 6-3, in Women’s Tennis
Marion, AL—Julia Kelly and Anna Waller vaulted over their opponents in their singles matches to give MMI a 4-0 lead over the Lady Lions of Piedmont College. The match boiled down to singles flights 3 and 4. At No. 3 singles, Madelyn Dibble had her hands full and found herself in a titanic tussle. Dibble lost the first set in a tiebreaker, 6-7 (4), but found her footing in the second set. Dibble prevailed, 6-7 (4), 6-0, 1-0 (5). Eve Crossett added to MMI's point total by pulling out her match, 6-3, 6-7 (5), 1-0 (5). Sarah Jeong, at No. 6 singles, played the best set of her young career, losing 4-6 in the second set.
