Lady Tigers Score 6-3 Road Win
Alexander City, AL—The Lady Tigers got off to a slow start in Friday afternoon's match against the Lady Trojans of Central Alabama Community College, escaping with two doubles wins and notching four solid wins in singles play to take the match, 6-3. MMI's Julia Kelly and Madelyn Dibble secured the Tigers' first point of the day with their 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles, and MMI's Anna Waller and Eve Crossett collected the Tigers' second point with their 8-6 comeback win at No. 2 doubles. In singles action, Kelly played flawless tennis in her 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles; Waller allowed three games at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-3; Dibble played solidly in her 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles; and Crossett won a 6-0, 6-1 decision at No. 4 singles. Sarah Jeong, at No. 6 singles, failed in her upset bid but played well in defeat, losing a close 6-2, 6-4 contest.
