Marion, AL. – The MMI Lady Tigers defeated Bevill State CC twice Saturday afternoon to earn the four-game series sweep. They will face Central Alabama CC this week in another ACCC North four-game series.

Game 1: MMI 12 BSCC 4

Kinley Bolton allowed six hits, four runs (one earned) and two walks with four strikeouts in five innings to earn the game one victory.

Carly Taylor, Maris Stinchcomb, and Jazmin Healy each went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Marion's offense. Taylor scored twice and collected a team high three RBI; Stinchcomb added a run and two RBI and Healy scored three times with a double and two RBI.

Jessica Cross added two hits with two RBI. Also recording hits were Jessica Morales, Erin Babineaux, Jaycie Armstrong, and Meredith Taylor.

Game 2: MMI 11 BSCC 4

Harleigh Anderson earned the win from the circle with Alexus Lambert working 1.2 innings in relief. Anderson gave up ten hits, four runs and three walks with one strikeout; Lambert gave up only one hit with no runs, walks or strikeouts.

Jessica Morales, MMI's leadoff hitter, finished with three hits in four plate appearances. She stole a base, scored once, and recorded two RBI. Maris Stinchcomb, Jaycie Armstrong, and Erin Babineaux each had two hits with Armstrong leading the team with three RBI.

Carly Taylor, Kaela Gimberg, Jazmin Healy, and Meredith Taylor also had hits in the win.
