Decatur, MS. – The MMI Lady Tigers got back in the win column, splitting a doubleheader at East Central Community College yesterday afternoon.  They will travel to Oxford, Alabama Saturday, February 26 to face Wabash Valley at 1:15 p.m. and Georgia Military at 3:30 p.m.

Game 1: MMI 3 ECCC 7

Jessica Morales, Maris Stinchcomb, and Kaela Gimberg each had two hits in the game one loss.  Morales also scored a run, had an RBI and stole two bases.  Carly Taylor had a hit and an RBI.  Jessica Cross and Jaycie Armstrong also collected hits for the Lady Tigers.

Freshman Kinley Bolton took the loss from the circle.  In six innings, she gave up seven hits, seven runs (one earned), and a walk with two strikeouts.

Game 2: MMI 5 ECCC 2

Jessica Morales and Erin Babineaux each hit a homerun to help MMI secure the game two win, allowing freshman pitcher, Harleigh Anderson, to earn the win after throwing all seven innings.  Morales finished 2-for-3 with three runs scored, two RBI and two stolen bases.  Babineaux went a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate with an RBI and one run scored.

Maris Stinchcomb had a hit with two RBI.  Jaycie Armstrong scored a run and Jazmin Healy had a hit in three plate appearances.
