Montevallo, AL. - Head coach Chad Balentine was pleased with the performance of his men's team Friday morning at the UAB Blazer Classic held on the campus of the University of Montevallo.  "The men crushed it this morning.  Five of the eight guys ran personal best with the other three running near their personal best." 

The Tigers were paced by freshman Michael Welborn and sophomore Kendall England.  Welborn (27:13.21) and England (27:15.70) both posted personal bests with Aaron Brown close behind at 28:12.79.  Daniel Garza (29:50.66), Raul Martinez (33:00.55), and Brandon Reiter (40:19.90) also PR'D for the Tigers.  Adrian Lopez (30:27.19) and Blaine Johnston (30:28.81) also ran solid times to pace MMI to a 17th place finish.

Marion will travel back to Montevallo this Friday for the ACCC Championships with the men's 8k race starting at 9:00 a.m.
