Marion, AL. - The MMI men's basketball team took a 41-28 lead into halftime Friday evening at home against the Tornadoes of Talladega College, leading to a 79-59 victory.

Sophomore Kenney Gaines, Jr. led the Tigers with 25 points.  Derrick Hutchins, Jr. recorded his first double-double of the season with 15 points and 18 rebounds.  Nyrek Wheeler added 15 points while Jordan Long finished with 14 points.

The Tigers will host Bishop State Community College for an ACCC North-South match-up Monday, November 15.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the William R. Ireland Athletic Center.
