Fayette, AL. – The Marion Military Institute Baseball team split the final doubleheader of the four-game series against Bevill State CC to even the series at two games apiece.

Game 1: MMI 2 BSCC 5

Nicholas Purvis and Nicholas Copen each had two hits in the loss Saturday afternoon with Purvis hitting a homerun. John Tunnell, Colby Davis, Jack Beck, and Hunter Stowe also had hits for the Tigers.

Freshman Landen Williams took the loss from the mound.

Game 2: MMI 9 BSCC 8

Marion held on for the win in game two as the Bears plated three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Colby Davis and Jack Beck led the Tigers at the plate with Davis going a perfect 4-for-4 with a double, homerun, a walk, and a team high four RBI; Beck went 3-for-5 with an RBI and one run scored.

Hunter Stowe and Luca Maberry added two hits apiece in the win; Stowe had a double and scored twice. Mason Green and Nicholas Purvis also had hits for Marion.
