Marion, AL. – MMI and Snead State CC split a doubleheader yesterday afternoon with the Tigers taking game one 9-6 and the Parsons winning game two, 12-2

Game 1 MMI 9 SSCC 6

After John Allen started on the mound for the Tigers, Harrison Poplin saw action in relief and earned the win in game one.  Zakye Holiday also saw action from the mound with Mason Elmore earned the save.

Nicholas Freeman and Christian Wright each had two hits for MMI.  Freeman finished 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI while scoring three runs.  Wright, MMI's starting catcher, scored once and recorded an RBI.  Nicholas Davis led the Tigers with four RBI.  Also collecting hits for MMI were Bryson Kirk (1for-3), Michael Rich (1-for3), Hunter Stowe (1-for-1), and Trayton Taft (1-for-3)

Game 2 MMI 2 SSCC 12

The Tigers were only able to scatter four hits in the game two loss with Michael Rich, Jordan Moore, Christian Wright, and Bryson Kirk each getting one. 

Nicholas Copen took the loss from the mound with Jackson Knox, JC Watkins, and Andrew Parks all seeing action in relief for the Tigers.
