Tigers Finish 1-1 Sunday afternoon
Hoover, AL. - The MMI baseball team defeated Bryant & Stratton College (WI) Sunday afternoon 10-0, but dropped the late game to ACCC South foe Wallace CC-Dothan, 2-4.

Marion plated four runs in the fourth inning and added six more in the fifth to roll to a 10-0 victory. Joshua Mehmen earned the win from the mound. In four innings, he allowed two hits, no runs and no walks with six strikeouts. Jonah Leland relieved Mehmen, working an inning for Marion. He gave up two hits with no runs or walks.
Nicholas Freeman went 3-for-4 with a run scored, a stolen base and two RBI to lead MMI at the plate. Jordan Moore and Hunter Stowe each finished with two hits in two plate appearances. Stowe hit a double and a triple with two runs scored while Moore scored twice, stole a base, had a double and an RBI. Nicholas Copen also had two hits, one a triple, while recording two RBI and two runs scored.
Also getting hits for Marion were: Nicholas Davis, Mason Green, Zachary Elliott, and Landon Nix.

MMI was only able to scatter three hits against the Govs of Wallace CC-Dothan, with designated hitter Michael Rich finishing with two and right fielder Trenten Justice recording one; a double.
See action on the mound for the Tigers was: John Allen, Jaxson Lucas, Caleb Junkin, Mason Elmore, and Jackson Knox.
MMI is scheduled to travel to Monroeville, Alabama this Wednesday to play Coastal Alabama CC-North in an afternoon doubleheader, weather permitting.
