MMI Participates in Coaches vs. Cancer

Marion, AL - The Marion Military Institute men's basketball team, along with Shelton State Community College took part in a Coaches vs. Cancer event during Monday night's game, raising over $100 for the American Cancer Society.  Both coaching staffs wore sneakers during the game and the MMI Corps of Cadets came out to support the cause wearing sneakers with their ACU cadet uniform.

The Coaches vs. Cancer event is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.  The initiative leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of coaches nationwide to increase cancer awareness, promote healthy living, and to save more lives.
