Tigers Earn First Road Win

12/7/13 - The men's basketball team earned its first road win of the season at Jefferson Davis Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers sailed to a 81-62 victory over the Warhawks, led by sophomore Monta Sanford. Sanford finished with 20 points, three rebounds and two assists. Overall, Marion had four players finish scoring in double figures.  Quinttravious Guinn scored 13 while Joshua Murrell and Greg Henry each finished with 11 points.  Murrell also grabbed a team high 10 rebounds. 

Also scoring for MMI, now 5-6 on the season, were: Sammie Battle (9), DeAndric Thomas (5), Jibrail Hayes (5), Charles Steele, Jr. (3), and Jamar Pope (2).

The Tigers will play at home December 14th (3:30 p.m.) and December 17th (7:00 p.m.) before heading home for the Christmas break.
